The Best Celebrity Dad Caves: Dax Shepard's Recliner Island, David Beckham's Surprising Hangout Spot and More

Chilling in this dad-and-little dude hang spot gets two thumbs up from Jason Sudeikis, 41, and his son Otis, 3. Mom Olivia Wilde was clearly allowed in to take this photo for Instagram.

Where do you find Kevin Hart, 37,  when he needs some dad time? Lounging shirtless with his fur children (and reading his own book) amid a collection of favorite shoes and dog beds, naturally.

The retired soccer star, 42, doesn’t have a recliner and a big screen in his most-frequented room in the house. The dad of four reigns over the kitchen, where he whips up dinners like this chicken and leek pastry recipe from Gordon Ramsay.

“I like to be behind the bar,” the Bones star, 48, tells PEOPLE of the classic beverage station in his Hidden Hills, California home. The decor includes plenty of personal trinkets like vintage whiskey bottles, Philadelphia Flyers paraphernalia and a refinished street sign from his grandfather’s hometown.

The dad of three, 39, shows off his impressive gallery wall skills in his neon game room, complete with some industrial touches and a serious recliner.

Between his astonishing shoe closet, soaring office-living room and personal garden, the music producer and new dad, 41, has plenty of “cave” options at his Miami home, but the hot tub — location of many a Snapchat pep talk — has to be the most famous.

Another fan of the lounger, Dax Shepard was forced to defend his very dadly chair of choice (and its questionable placement) to wife, Kristen Bell. He posted another picture of himself in blissful repose to prove his decorating mantra: #functionoverfashion.

The host of HGTV’s Income Property and one-time PEOPLE Sexy Man of the Week, 39, has a dream man cave setup in his second garage. He built the tricked out space at his family’s new home as a hangout for friends. “It’s got my tools, a bar, a TV and a hot rod,” he says. What more could a dad ask for?

Kennedy created by his grandmother, art from his various films, and a framed jersey from his favorite baseball team.

The American Horror Story actor, 41, and husband, Jason Landau, share a dad deck at their Hollywood Hills home. “One of my prerequisites for moving to L.A. and living here was, I wanted to be in nature,” says Jackson, who grew up “in the woods, like no running water, outhouse.” Now, he says, “we love it out here.”
