Teresa Giudice can’t escape controversy. The Real Housewives of New Jersey star angered some of her more conservative fans when she shared a picture of her 9-year-old daughter, Audriana, sporting a belly-baring shirt and a full face of makeup.
In the photo, birthday girl Audriana poses with one hand on her hip, her stomach on display.
“Let her be a nine year old child! A little girl. NO makeup! Age appropriate clothes!” wrote one person in the comments. Added another: “I would die before I let my 9 year old daughter (yes, I have one) sport makeup with a key hole crop top. C’mon lady!!!” A third noted that a child Audriana’s age should be wearing a hair bow and “not a crop top with a cutout on the chest.”
Though the Bravo personality has yet to respond to the criticism, many people have come to her defense. As one person pointed out, “Who really cares how she dresses HER children? Does it affect your life.”
This isn’t the first time the professional body builder has received backlash about her kids’ wardrobe choices. Last month, Giudice shared a snap of Gia, Milania and Audriana while on vacation in the Bahamas. “Girls looking like adult women is very scary,” wrote one person in the comments. Another critic was upset about Gia’s top: “No need for an unbuttoned shirt. That’s not age-appropriate.”
Others thought the sisters looked perfect. Wrote one RHOJ fan: “Chill out and stop being so judgmental and mean.”
Teresa and her husband, Joe Giudice, are parents of four girls: Gia, 17, Gabriella, 14, Milania, 13, and Audriana. Joe is currently serving time in jail for bank and bankruptcy fraud.
