Teen Mom’s Kailyn Lowry Takes Down a Mommy-Shamer

The claws are out. Teen Mom 2 star Kailyn Lowry won’t tolerate mom-shaming. After a troll suggested a haircut for 17-month-old Lux because “he looks like a girl,” Lowry promptly responded on Twitter.

“I don’t tell people to tape your mouth shut cause you’re ignorant,” the MTV personality, 26, wrote on Tuesday, September 25. “Don’t tell me what to do with my children.”

Her retort received nearly 5,000 likes. And many parents chimed in with photos of their sons who wear long locks. “Boys can have long hair too! His hair is beautiful, let it grow!” one fan replied. Added another: “I think it’s absolutely adorable. My son has a ponytail.”

Lowry shares Lux with ex-boyfriend Chris Lopez. She is also mom of Isaac, 8, and Lincoln, 4, from relationships with Jo Rivera and Javi Marroquin, respectively.

This isn’t the first time the “Coffee Convos” podcast cohost has defended her toddler’s tresses. In March, she fired back at a social media user who told her to cut Lux’s hair “Unless your goal is to make him look like a girl.”

“I’ll cut it when he tells me he wants to cut it,” Lowry wrote on Twitter. “But you can mind your own business lil momma.”

Later on Tuesday, Lowry shifted her attention to more important things, like the release of her juicy memoir A Letter of Love. (The book details her tumultuous relationship with Marroquin, 25, and how she knew she would regret their marriage.)

Marroquin won’t be asking for an autographed copy. “I’m really getting sick and tired of reading this s—t. Forreal,” he tweeted on Saturday. “The only reason she says this is to seek validation from her new relationship and convince herself it’s OK. I’m getting fed up with this. I didn’t sign anything to use my name. Maybe I should get my attorney too.”
