In another shocking turn of events in Sophie Turner and Joe Jonas’s divisive split, it seems they’ve been ordered by the Florida court system to both do this extra parenting step ASAP. While they hammer out their ongoing custody battle and messy divorce, they have to legally attend a four-hour parenting course.
In the headline-making order obtained by The Mirror, a Florida judge said: “All parties to dissolution of marriage proceedings with minor children or to paternity proceedings shall be required to complete the Parent Education and Family Stabilization Course prior to the entry by the court of a final judgment.”
Along with that, the order also read that both of them can’t relocate their kids without the express permission of both of them.
And for those asking, “Why Florida?!” Well, not only did they reside there for quite some time in their multi-million dollar Miami mansion, but Jonas filed for divorce from Turner in Miami, Florida, per NBCNews.

Now, this order ties back into the lawsuit Turner filed against Jonas.
While Turner mostly stayed quiet after the divorce news swirled through the media, she recently filed a lawsuit against Jonas that claimed he was allegedly withholding their daughters’ passports, barring them from going to England with her.
Jonas and the Game of Thrones alum started dating in 2016, and later married in 2019. They welcomed two daughters named Willa and another daughter whose name they haven’t released, but is going by the initials D.J.
They announced their divorce in Sept 2023 after news broke that Jonas retained a divorce lawyer. And after a few weeks, it’s alleged Turner didn’t know they were going to divorce until the news hit the media.
