Sia Wants to Adopt a Teen From HBO's 'Foster' Documentary

Providing a place. Sia announced that she wants to adopt a teen from HBO’s Foster documentary with a Tuesday, May 28, tweet.

“Hey Dasani from ‘FOSTER’ on HBO! I’d like to adopt you,” the singer, 43, wrote. “We’re just trying to find you and get my house check done etc. but I want you to know you will have a home with me.”

The musician added: “Dasani if you’re out there or your case worker is out there please email [email protected] so we can connect.”

The 16-year-old has been in group homes since he was 4, when his mom was shot and killed by someone Dasani considered to be his father.

“Being in a group home, it’s like, lockdown,” Dasani explained in the film. “It’s like having a big chain attached to your leg. You go, and if it don’t work out, you go somewhere completely different. You’re just bouncing from place to place to place to place. You don’t know none of these people. It’s a whole new experience. It’s a whole new environment. Everything is different.”

HBO’s documentary premiered earlier this month, diving into the “often-misunderstood world of foster care through compelling stories” from the Los Angeles County Department of Children and Family Services.

In February, the “Elastic Heart” singer used Twitter to provide food for the homeless. “Hey @pizzahut would you consider donating a load of pizzas to your local homeless community every night this week?” she wrote at the time.

“Done,” the chain responded hours later.

Sia went on to say, “If there are any motels or hotels in cold or rainy America who would accept a homeless guest tonight, I’ll pay, and give you a plug. Pls RT.”
