Toddlers can be so unpredictable — especially on vacation. Will they actually want to see Mickey Mouse after asking about him for months, or will they hide behind your legs and scream when the moment comes? There’s no way to know for sure! Shawn Johnson just shared an update about her toddlers meeting princesses at Disney World, and their different reactions are absolutely sending us.
“… her little dreams came true and Jett just cracked us up hahah ✨” the Olympic gold medalist captioned the most adorable video on Instagram.
A post shared by Shawn Johnson East (@shawnjohnson)
“Our 3-year-old’s reaction to meeting each Disney Princess,” she added over the montage. In it, her 3-year-old daughter Drew is wearing Minnie Mouse ears covered in bling and a green Ariel dress from The Little Mermaid. As she walks up to the first princess at Disney World, her face is just the picture of happiness. Basically, exactly what a parent hopes for when going on vacation.
Drew grabs Cinderella’s hand and walks with her to the picture spot, where the princess kneels down to talk to her. “Awestruck,” Johnson described the moment.
As she gives Cinderella a “sweet hug,” her 1-year-old brother Jett walks into the frame. He’s causally walking up to Cinderella, lifting up his shirt without a care in the world. So cute!
Drew also meets Rapunzel from Tangled. While she is smiling (and taking the moment very seriously), Jett is in the background playing with the curtains and making the princess laugh. When they meet Princess Anna from Frozen, Jett has his hand in his mouth the entire time. The difference in their attitudes toward the princesses is just too funny.

The Comments Were So Cute
People had the sweetest comments on Johnson’s post.
One person wrote, “She’s 100% focused on each of them as they are on her. So adorable! 😍😍”
“She looked so in awe and in disbelief. That’s the best thing ever. Love seeing things thru our littles’ eyes. 😍😍” someone else wrote.
“Staaaahhhhpppp!!!! So cute! And Jett all up in the drapes! 🤣🤣” another wrote.
“Jett bringing such dude vibes! 😆” one person said.
Another shared a funny story. “When we took our kids for the first time, my son was 4 and would not entertain a single princess at all except Cinderella,” they wrote. “They all came by our dinner table to stop and talk to the kids but he would not even speak to them. But he smiled and hugged Cinderella! The boy had a favorite.”

Shawn Johnson’s Husband Andrew East Flew Them to Disney
Earlier this week, Johnson shared that her husband Andrew East flew the family of four to Florida to go to Disney World.
In her Instagram Stories, she addressed some of the questions she had been getting.
“No I’m not nervous. I trust Andrew and he takes it very seriously,” she explained, adding, “Our family rule is if kids are onboard or both of us (both parents) even though Andrew CAN fly us solo we always have a second pilot to be extra cautious.”

Their Toddlers Didn’t Want to Look at the Camera & It’s So Relatable
The former gymnast and former NFL player may be experienced athletes, but they seem to be having just as much of a struggle wrangling toddlers as we do. East shared an expectation vs. reality post about trying to take a family photo in front of the castle, and it’s all too relatable.
“What we were goin’ for,” East wrote over a smiling picture of internet personalities The Bucket List Family, who posed in front of the castle. Then it cut to a video of their family, which East wrote, “what we got.” Johnson is holding Drew and East has Jett, and both kids are turned all the way around to stare at the castle as their parents try to get them to look at the camera in the hot sun. I can feel the stress from this moment radiating through the screen!
“😂😂😂 admittedly we chose a busy time and place to try to do this,” East wrote, promising “better pics to follow.” It’s OK, even the bad pictures will make for good memories!
