Rodney Atkins Gives Fans Ultimate Ending to New Music Video by Revealing Wife's Pregnancy

Rose Falcon Atkins has a bun in the oven!

The wife of Rodney Atkins is pregnant with the couple’s second child together and the country singer’s third total, he revealed Thursday in a heartfelt lyric video for “My Life,” the second single from his forthcoming album Caught Up in the Country.

Both Atkins, 49, and Rose, 32, implored their followers on Instagram to watch the entirety of the video, where the couple promised they would find a “surprise ending.”

Beginning near the 3:10 mark, a framed photo of the couple’s 14-month-old son Ryder Falcon and Atkins’ son Elijah, 17, can be seen, with little Ryder holding up an ultrasound photo in the snap.

The sweet song and accompanying video was inspired by Rose’s late grandmother, who was married to Rose’s grandfather for over 70 years and wrote “I love my life” on a piece of paper before she died.

The spouses tied the knot in November 2013 during a beach ceremony in Captiva Island, Florida, where Elijah served as best man. The intimate event included only 20 guests, and was officiated by Charles Hutchins, the founder of the children’s home where the groom spent his infancy before being adopted.

They welcomed son Ryder on Dec. 14, 2017, and celebrated his first birthday this past December by giving the newly crowned (literally) 1-year-old his very own cake to smash — and he more than delivered.

“December 14th is by far my favorite day of the year. Happy 1st Birthday little man. #sweetbabyry #1stbirthday,” Rose wrote on Instagram, sharing a cute photograph of a smiling Ryder in a pair of “Happy Birthday” novelty glasses.

Rose and Ryder made a cameo in the music video for Caught Up in the Country‘s eponymous track, joining the singer for a cute photo op on set.

“#TBT filming #CaughtUpInTheCountry music video! Who has seen it?!,” Atkins captioned the January image, which showed him sitting astride a motorcycle with Ryder as Rose smiled while standing next to the duo.

Caught Up in the Country, Atkins’ fifth studio album, is out May 10 and available for pre-order now on amazon.com.
