‘RHOC’ Alum Briana Culberson Just Posted A Photo Revealing Her 45-Pound Keto Diet Weight Loss

Briana Culberson, daughter of The Real Housewives of Orange County’s Vicki Gunvalson, is killing it when it comes to following the keto diet—and her husband Ryan has the pictures to prove it.

She posted on her husband Ryan’s account, saying, “I’ve lost 45 lbs on keto so far but most importantly my health has greatly improved!”

Briana also wrote: “The face on the left is of an average American diet, never felt good, having constant lupus flares, and on and off steroids for almost a year.” (FYI: She was diagnosed with lupus in 2016, according to People, and almost had her leg amputated in April 2018 because of lupus complications.)

Then there’s the photo on the right (the one of Briana now): “The face on the right is strict keto, steroid free, and lupus flare free,” she wrote.

To be clear, the Lupus Foundation of America doesn’t suggest any specific diets for to hep control lupus symptoms. Instead, it suggests those with lupus “eat a nutritious, well-balanced, and varied diet that contains plenty of fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and moderate amounts of meats, poultry, and fish.” (But hey, it’s great to see that Briana is doing well!)

The Culbersons have been on the keto diet for about eight months now. Ryan first posted about the keto diet back in November. He shared a photo of Briana with the caption: “So proud of Briana my keto queen. It has been such a [sic] easy transition for us over the last 5 months.” He also used the hashtags #ketolifestyle and #hotmama (Briana and Ryan have two kids, BTW).

In that post, Ryan also revealed that he and Briana use KetoLogic, a company that sells keto-friendly meal replacement shakes and supplements, to help them maintain their keto diet.

Ryan has also posted photos and recipes, like how to make your own venison jerky.

Keto venison jerky recipe that will work with beef as well. 4-5 LB VENISON ROAST 1/2 CUP TAMARI SAUCE 1/4 CUP WORCESTERSHIRE SAUCE 1 TBSP GARLIC POWDER 1 TBSP ONION POWDER 1 TSP BLACK PEPPER 1/2 TSP CAYENNE PEPPER In a mixing bowl, combine tamari sauce, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper and black pepper. Stir to combine. Trim all connective tissue and excess fat from meat. With a sharp knife, slice into 1/4 inch thick slices against the grain. Put slices in a large re-sealable plastic bag. Pour the marinade mixture over the venison, and massage the bag so that all the slices are coated with the marinade. Seal the bag and refrigerate overnight. When ready to cook, start the Traeger grill on Smoke setting. Remove the venison from the marinade and discard the marinade and pat dry. Arrange the meat in a single layer directly on the grill grate. Smoke for 4 to 5 hours, or until the jerky is dry but still chewy and somewhat pliant when you bend a piece. Transfer to cooling rack and allow to cool for 1 hour. Seal leftover jerky in a zip top plastic bag and store in fridge. . #venison #jerky #backyardgrocerystore #wildgame #organicmeat #huntforfood #eatwhatyoukill #realfood #deermeat #deer #ketojerky #ketofood #ketorecipes
