Rachel Bilson is getting candid about dating as a single mom.
The actress, 37, who shares 4-year-old daughter Briar Rose with ex Hayden Christensen, discussed her dating life on “Bachelor” alum Nick Viall’s podcast “The Viall Files.”
“I always put it out there. But also because she’s my world, and I talk about her all the time anyways. How (expletive) up would it be if I hid that?” she said. “If you’re going to pursue something with someone, they have to be interested in the kid or be willing to be around the kid.”
She also revealed her red flag when it comes to dating.
“I was talking to this guys a few months back, anytime I would bring my daughter up, they would never pursue the question or ask more about her,” she said. “It was a red flag because anyone that you’re going to get involved with, if you have a kid, they have to be all about the kid.”
Bilson added that she’s also protective of her child, saying her daughter hasn’t met “anyone as of yet” that she has dated – and won’t, until it’s something serious.
“It would have to be someone I know I’m going to be with,” she added. “It would have to be a very serious relationship.”
