Expanding their brood! Christina Anstead and her husband, Ant Anstead, are expecting their first child together.
The Flip or Flop star, 35, made the exciting pregnancy announcement via Instagram on Friday, March 22. “@ant_anstead and I are so excited to announce #babyanstead coming this September,” she captioned a sweet picture of the pair holding a sonogram image. “The kids are all so excited to meet their new sibling #5 #Gonnaneedabiggercar.”
Ant, 39, also shared the news on social media. The British television presenter posted an Instagram Opens a New Window. collage of the pair’s children — Amelie, 15, Archie, 12, Taylor, 8, and Brayden, 3 — with a small ultrasound photo at the center.
He gushed, “And then…… there were FIVE!!! (Well …. four and a half! Will be Five in September)!!”
The couple tied the knot in an intimate ceremony at their California home in December 2018. Both the HGTV star’s kids, whom she shares with ex-husband Tarek El Moussa Opens a New Window. , and the former Wheeler Dealers presenter’s children, whom he shares with ex-wife Lousie, played a big part in the nuptials.
“They loved the wedding. They each got up and made little speeches, and we really included them on the big day,” Christina told Us Weekly exclusively in February. “They’re all doing really good. They’re settled, happy and content.”
Christina and Tarek, 37, split in 2016, but the duo continue to work together on their home improvement show and remain friends for the sake of their offspring, Taylor and Brayden.
“It’s important when you’re coparenting to make sure that you’re on the same page,” Christina told Us in June 2018. “We have a schedule where we make sure that if one of us has to travel, that the other picks up for the other one. And we just make sure that whatever’s best for the kids is what we’re going to do.”
The star of the upcoming HGTV series Christina on the Coast also revealed that her ex-husband congratulated her and Ant after they said “I do.” She noted last month: “He texted both me and Ant, ‘Congratulations.’ I think it’s really good closure for all of us and it’s a fresh start for him as well.”
Christina added, “[I hope Tarek finds] someone who treats my kids very well, just like Ant treats my kids.”
