Peppa Pig, Iggy Azalea tiff over album debut wins the day. ‘Peppa’s so fancy, you already know’

Rapper Iggy Azalea might not be performing for the same demographic as animated children’s favorite Peppa Pig, but what happens when the two drop albums on the same day?

Parents might be inclined to buy the rapper’s sophomore studio album “In My Defense” when it releases Friday. But your kids might have a very different idea about what the family should listen to on repeat this weekend: Peppa Pig’s appropriately titled “My First Album,” performed by the famous British pig herself.

“It’s over for me now,” Azalea tweeted Tuesday, quoting Peppa Pig’s announcement that the first single off her Friday album was already available.

Then Peppa replied, and so began perhaps the strangest rapper beef (or, uh, pork) of 2019.

“Peppa’s so fancy, you already know,” the official account replied, referencing Azalea’s 2014 breakout song “Fancy.” She’s checking herself out in the mirror wearing, indeed, a very fancy crown.

“Collab with me now or you’ll end up a breakfast special peppa,” Azalea shot back. Yeesh. No response yet from Peppa Pig, though perhaps it would look something like this:
