Pauly D: Why Ronnie Ortiz-Magro and Jen Harley Must Split for Good

Pauly “DJ Pauly D” DelVecchio considers Jersey Shore costar Ronnie Magro-Ortiz like family. But he can’t say the same about Magro-Ortiz’s on-again, off-again girlfriend, Jen Harley.

“As far as a relationship for them two, I don’t see it in the long run,” Pauly D told Us Weekly on Monday, September 10. The MTV personality’s main concern: their 5-month-old daughter, Ariana.

“Ronnie’s such a great dude, he’ll be a great father,” explained Pauly D, who appears in WEtv’s Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars. “I would like to see him, obviously put the baby first, which he’s doing. But also maybe get some sort of coparenting thing going on.”

Magro-Ortiz, 32, and Harley’s volatile relationship has been playing out on Jersey Shore: Family Vacation. In April, just three weeks after Harley, 31, gave birth, the parents had a vicious spat on social media with him accusing her of keeping sex tapes with ex-boyfriends. She, in turn, called him a “coke head.” In June, the reality stars were then involved in a physical altercation in Las Vegas that left Magro-Ortiz with “minor cuts, scratches and dried blood,” per a police report obtained by Us Weekly at the time.

Pauly D knows a bit about raising kids. He is the proud single dad of 5-year-old Amabella, whom he shares with Amanda Markert. “I told Ronnie the same advice I got: to sleep when you can,” he revealed. “But he tells me he’s got a good system now. He wakes up in the middle of the night and then feeds her, changes her her, and then goes back to bed. He has it down to a science.”

Meanwhile, Ortiz-Magro and Harley’s drama hasn’t turned Pauly D off from relationships. The DJ, who costars with ex-girlfriend Aubrey O’Day on Marriage Boot Camp, told Us he wants his next love interest to be “a role model” for Amabella.

Marriage Boot Camp: Reality Stars airs on WEtv Friday at 9 p.m. ET. Jersey Shore: Family Vacation airs on MTV Thursday at 8 p.m. ET.
