Paul Rudd Is Attached to This Thanksgiving Tradition

Paul Rudd won’t have to deal with dirty dishes on Thanksgiving. The Clueless actor and his brood will be dining out in his home state.

“We go to Kansas City and we’ll all eat at this restaurant that’s been an important restaurant for my entire family most of my life,” Rudd, 49, Us Weekly at his All-Star Bowling Benefit at Lucky Strike in New York City. “I’m a big fan of traditions and things like that.”

But The Ant-Man and the Wasp star understands sometimes traditions change. This year, Halloween looked different for Rudd and his wife, Julie Yaeger, who are parents of Jack, 12, and Darby, 8.

“They didn’t get as much candy. My daughter kind of gave up on it early. She’s not really that into crowds,” Rudd explained to Us at the charity event, which benefited The Stuttering Association for the Young. “And this was the first year I didn’t really go trick-or-treating with my son. He was out with his pals.”

Meanwhile, Rudd has gained cool points with Jack and Darby for his involvement in the Ant-Man franchise. “My kids are very excited about that and they really have gotten into the Marvel universe,” he gushed. “They watch all the movies and they think it’s really cool.”

In June, Rudd revealed to Us Weekly and other reporters that Jack and Darby like visiting him at work for the snacks. Quipped the This Is 40 actor: “Once they’re there they just want to know where the table with the free candy is!”

Rudd and former publicist Yaeger have been married 15 years.
