Parents find heartbreaking note from daughter seven months after her death

Two parents found a heartbreaking note written by their young daughter months after her tragic death.

Brooklynn Newville, aged nine, and her five-year-old brother Jace were driving with their grandma and cousin when they were involved in a catastrophic collision in March 2017.

Brooklynn and Jace died instantly and their grandma, Linda, died later in hospital.

Seven months after the crash that devastated their family, Brooklynn’s parents, Shanée and Brian, made an amazing discovery in her bedroom – all of their darling girl’s hopes and dreams for the future, in a handwritten bucket list.

"We found my daughter’s bucket list," Brian said in an interview with Oklahoma News 4 . "I had heard about it, but I had never seen it."

The heartbreaking list titled "Brookie’s Bucket List" is full of things like "go scuba diving", "canoe", "see a moose" and "drive a boat with no help".

These are all things she never got to do because her life was taken far too soon.

In honour of their children, Brian and Shanée are going to spend the next few years completing Brooklynn’s list in a tribute to their daughter and son.
