Padma Lakshmi's Daughter Was Her Mom's Glam Red Carpet Date & We Are Seeing Double

Padma Lakshmi has been making the red carpet rounds with her 13-year-old daughter Krishna Thea Lakshmi-Dell, and we cannot believe our eyes. The pair looked like twins at the Endometriosis Foundation of America’s Blossom Ball on Monday. From their stunning brown eyes to their enviable cheekbones, and their dark and wavy locks, it’s clear that Krishna takes after her mom.

Their coordinating black dresses only sealed the twinning deal. The Top Chef host wore a silky black halter gown with a cowl neck and simple train, and her daughter — who she shares with Adam Dell — rocked a sleeveless black mini dress with a boned corset, v-neck, and a feather train.

This is far from the first time the duo has had a matching moment. In Feb. 2023, the two wore short sleeve jumpsuits that zip up the front, rollerskating sneakers (We’re so jealous!), and sunglasses that were perfect for skating down the streets of New York City.

“Twinning and winning 👯‍♀️,” Lakshmi captioned the post. “Littlehands had the day off of school so we took my new Christmas skates out for a spin… I guess we were effortless at some point but I don’t have evidence of that portion of the afternoon.”

“LOVE THIS,” Bravo’s Andy Cohen commented on the post.

Lakshmi has admitted that she and Krishna also make sure their Halloween costumes go together. She sat down with Parents just a few months into the pandemic and she said she was “a bit behind schedule” in terms of planning for the October celebration.

“We start thinking about costumes shortly after Easter,” she said. “Krishna and I usually coordinate, so I try to lock in a decision by August…It’s our favorite holiday.”

Not only does Krishna share her mom’s fashion sense and her love of Halloween, but she has also absorbed some of Lakshmi’s cooking skills.

“The other day I wasn’t feeling well,” she told Parents. “And all by herself, Krishna made a dish of couscous, vegetables, and Sriracha butter that was exactly what I wanted to eat.”

How sweet and impressive! Suddenly I’m not feeling well either, Krishna. Can I place an order for pickup?
