New Mom Kehlani Breastfeeds Daughter Adeya 2 Weeks After Giving Birth — See the Sweet Snaps

Kehlani is glowing as a new mama.

The 23-year-old singer smiled for the camera in two photographs she shared to Instagram on Tuesday, sporting a pair of clear-framed glasses as her 2-week-old daughter Adeya Nomi nursed on her left side.

In the second snapshot, Kehlani threw a smirk at the camera, turning her head to the side as the newborn continued to breastfeed during their bonding session in bed.

“It’s just us twooooooo it’s just me and youuuuuu nowwwww *cassie voice* ☺️?✨,” the new mama captioned her post, evoking Cassie‘s lyrics to her 2006 hit "Me & U."

Videos on her Instagram Story showed Adeya’s sparkling stud earring up close, while in a breastfeeding clip, Kehlani moved her head to a silent beat, writing of her daughter, “She got da hiccups.”

Pregnant Kehlani Says She’s “Really Excited” for the “Extreme Pain” and “Beauty” of Childbirth: “It’s Very Ceremonial”

These are the first photos Kehlani has shared of her baby girl to her Instagram feed since she and guitarist Javie Young-White, welcomed Adeya over the weekend of March 23.

Their bundle of joy arrived via an “unmedicated homebirth” in the “Gangsta” hitmaker’s bathroom, she said, adding that she would not be posting for a bit while she recuperated from the delivery and spent time with her family.

“This weekend our angel arrived healthy & perfect in every way in our bathroom at home,” Kehlani wrote alongside a photo of what appeared to be a baby blanket. “Unmedicated homebirth was the absolute hardest yet most powerful thing i’ve ever done.”

“Thankful beyond words. in love beyond comparison,” she added. “Refraining from posting to be [with] family and rest, we just wanted to say thank you to everyone who sent well wishes, love, and support in all forms while waiting & working to bring Adeya earthside.”

Days after her baby’s arrival, Kehlani expressed on social media that it wasn’t her intention to use her homebirth “experience to shame another’s” delivery method.

“All birth is extremely hard and transformative,” the singer tweeted on March 26. “Homebirth is a medical decision as is hospital birth, all birth is mind blowing & powerful.”

“Using my experience to shame another’s isnt what i want,” Kehlani continued. “Power to anyone who brings life forth, it’s a next level journey whichever way ?”

In a separate post, she joked of the difficulty of childbirth, “I hope everyone knows no one can tell me S— after that because LORD … ??? next level, no words! ✨”
