It was just a matter of time. North West — North West — the fashion-forward daughter of Kanye West and Kim Kardashian West — made her runway debut on Saturday. North, 5, strutted her stuff for brand L.O.L. Surprise in Pacific Palisades, California, looking plenty fierce. Dressed as an L.O.L. doll character, North rocked the runway in a magenta vinyl jacket, sassy miniskirt and black crop top. Oh, and don’t forget the oversize shades and bag.
Seriously? Watch out, Kendall Jenner. Your niece may be your newest competition.
Proud mama Kim Kardashian West was on hand (obvi) and pretty much losing her mind during the show. “Kim was cheering North’s name as she walked,” a source told Us Weekly. “[Kim] even hopped out of her seat and ran over to North before she walked to give her some last minute modeling tips!”
Kardashian posted a video of North strutting the catwalk on her Instagram Stories, captioning it "North as THRILLA @lolsurprise" and "Northie came through!"
As if Northie wouldn’t rock her first modeling gig. Please. Kardashian West added a second Instagram Story featuring North beaming while holding the hands of the other child models at the end of the show (including actor Busy Philipps’ daughter Birdie).
“North is completely obsessed with L.O.L. Surprise already, so when we found out there was going to be an L.O.L. Surprise BIGGER Surprise Fashion show, she absolutely had to be involved,” Kardashian West said. “She loves to dress up like her favorite characters, so it was so exciting for her to actually become a real-life L.O.L. doll.”
Hmmm. Wonder where she gets it from…
We’re kind of expecting a mother-daughter modeling event at some point in the future. I mean, just look at these two twinning away.
Will we see North West’s siblings — little brother Saint and new sis Chicago — on the runway someday? We’re guessing yes.
