Anyone who follows Meghan King Edmonds on Instagram knows The Real Housewives of Orange County alum is no stranger to the design space. So it makes perfect sense that Edmonds, 34, created the perfect nursery for her 7-week-old twin sons Hayes and Hart.
Edmonds shared the story behind boys’ “neutral” bedroom in a blog post published on Monday, July 9. Just like their big sister, Aspen, 20 months, Hayes and Hart sleep in a cribs from Newport Cottages. Their $1,095 model — from the brand’s just launched Artisan Collection — is crafted from solid wood and oak veneers and comes in three finishes. Both Hayes and Hart have matching cloud and stars mobiles.
With cribs checked off her list, the former Bravo personality added a white daybed from Aspen’s room, but changed out the pillows. (She found new ones at Home Goods!) “As Aspen gets older she’s using her room as more of a play space so moving the daybed out to make room for play was a no-brainer,” Edmonds explained. “(I was really proud of this large scale repurposing!)”
Finishing touches in the nursery included an all-in-one-night-light and sound machine created by Hatch, succulent plants, and a Newport Cottages six–drawer dresser that Edmonds raved has a “deep wood smell.”
Edmonds couldn’t be happier with the final product. “I am so pleased with the way their nursery turned out especially since I didn’t put a ton of money into it and I originally didn’t want to put a lot of thought into it either,” she wrote. “But once I decided on the cribs and dresser my creative juices started to flow and I couldn’t stop!”
