One big joke. Lori Loughlin laughed about the amount of dough she shelled out for daughter Olivia Jade‘s schooling in a 2017 video, which resurfaced amid the headline-making college bribe scandal.
In a video dubbed, “TEACHING MY MOM SLANG TERMS OF 2017,” the YouTube star, who was 17 at the time, informs the Full House alum of the phrase, “England is my city.” (Fellow YouTuber Nick Crompton crooned these words in Jake Paul‘s “It’s Everyday Bro” Opens a New Window. music video, which went viral in May of that year.)

“England is NOT a city,” Loughlin, 54, tells her child in the footage, to which Olivia responds: “I know, that’s why it’s so, so, so iconic on YouTube! … Well, it’s not iconic at all, it’s just really dumb.”
The two-time mom — who also shares daughter Bella, 20, with husband Mossimo Giannulli — quips: “If you would’ve said, ‘England is my city,’ I would say, ‘Why did I pay all this money for your education?’” (Both parents are accused of paying bribes totaling $500,000 in exchange for their children to attend the University of Southern California.) The mother-daughter duo then laugh at the joke.
Loughlin and Giannulli, 55, were arrested on Wednesday, March 13, and Tuesday, March 12, respectively, for their alleged involvement in a nationwide college admissions scam, which has come to be known as Operation Varsity Blues. The pair were each released on a $1 million bond.
The New York native has since lost multiple jobs, including her role as leading lady on Hallmark’s When Calls the Heart.
“We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations,” Crown Media Family Networks said in a statement. “We are no longer working with Lori Loughlin and have stopped development of all productions that air on the Crown Media Family Network channels involving Lori Loughlin including Garage Sale Mysteries, an independent third party production.”
The Summerland alum is also not expected to appear on the last season of Netflix’s Fuller House.
Olivia, for her part, lost her brand deal with Sephora. “After careful review of recent developments, we have made the decision to end the Sephora Collection partnership with Olivia Jade, effective immediately,” a spokesperson for the beauty company told Us in a statement.
TMZ reports that neither Olivia nor Bella will return to USC. According to the website, the beauty guru and the Every Christmas Has a Story actress made the decision to withdraw from the school amid bullying by their peers.
Desperate Housewives alum Felicity Huffman was also arrested over the scandal on Tuesday after allegedly making a “charitable donation” of $15,000 to extend her daughter Sofia’s SAT test-taking time.
Loughlin, Giannulli and Huffman, 56, are expected to appear in court on March 29.
