Kelli Giddish is pregnant! The Law & Order: SVU star debuted her baby bump on the red carpet at the season 20 premiere of the NBC series in NYC on Thursday, September 20.
“Kelli looked amazing, she was glowing,” an onlooker tells Us Weekly. “Mariska Hargitay lit up and ran right over to Kelli rubbing her stomach and asking if she was feeling OK.”
Costar Peter Scanavino also made sure Giddish was doing well. At one point, she joked to reporters: “I’m feeling good, but ready to not be pregnant anymore!”
This will be the second child for Giddish, who welcomed son Ludo with husband Lawrence Faulborn in October 2015. At the time, it was her costar Ice T who was one of the first to break the news.
“At the hospital with the newest SVU member ‘Ludo’ Congrats @TheKelliGiddish and Larry,” he captioned an Instagram photo of his wife, Coco Austin, holding Ludo alongside Giddish following the newborn’s arrival.
Giddish, 38, and Faulborn tied the knot in July 2015. They exchanged vows in an intimate ceremony in New Smyrna Beach, Florida.
Giddish is best known for playing Amanda Rollins on Law & Order: SVU since 2007. The series wrote her first pregnancy into the show. Rollins revealed in season 17 that she was pregnant and Declan Murphy (Donal Logue) turned out to be the father.
According to E! News, Giddish’s second pregnancy will also be written into the hit show.
