Family of three! Laguna Beach alum Taylor Cole welcomed her first child — a baby girl — with husband Kevin Simshauser on Friday, September 28, the couple confirmed on social media.
The doting dad took to Instagram to share the happy news with the world and gush over his wife of almost three years.
“9.28.18. Watching the birth of my daughter was the most surreal, intense, amazing thing I have ever witnessed,” Simshauser wrote alongside a series of photos, including one of him holding their new bundle of joy. “So proud of you and your mama!”

The real estate broker concluded the post with a sweet name reveal, adding, “Happy Birthday Tatum Woods.”
The Arizona-based photographer also announced her first born via her Instagram Stories that same day. “Our baby girl, Tatum Woods is here,” Cole captioned the first of three photos, which shows her husband cradling the little one and looking at her in adoration.
Cole didn’t shy away from documenting her journey to motherhood publicly over the past few months.
One week prior to giving birth, the former reality star revealed her excitement — and nervousness — in a lengthy Instagram post alongside a photo showing off her bare baby bump.
“40 weeks. The end is a real mind F. Everyone keeps asking – are you excited? 100% YES, but also no. Turns out it’s real hard when you don’t know what you are in for this first time around,” she wrote before adding that “social media can mess with you too.”
She continued to detail her anxiousness, noting that she is “torn between wanting to do everything in my control to get prepared, but also want to move slowly. Trying to relax. I go to sleep each night thinking ok, one more day closer. Wishing the days away, but also scared by how fast it’s all going.”
Cole concluded the long message: “Anyway, I am cherishing these last moments before I have to share you with this wild world. The real work starts when you get here, little one and I’m all yours ❤️ #alifeofsims #sharetheeverymom.”
Cole and Simshauser tied the knot in a gorgeous La Quinta, California, outdoor ceremony in October 2015.
