The 26-year-old model and the baseball pro announced Upton was pregnant in July.

“You’re going to be the most amazing Mom!! I can’t wait to start this new journey with you!” Verlander, 35, gushed on Instagram at the time. “You’re the most thoughtful, loving, caring, and strong woman I’ve ever met! I’m so proud that our little one is going to be raised in this world by a woman like you! I love you so much.”

Upton and Verlander tied the knot in Tuscany, Italy, in November 2017, just days after the pitcher and the Houston Astros won the 2017 World Series against the Los Angeles Dodgers.

“We wanted to keep the beauty classic and simple for the ceremony, and then went bolder for the reception,” Upton told Vogue in December 2017 about their nuptials. “Justin and I didn’t want to take away from the natural beauty of the location, so Michelangelo Greenhouse constructed an actual greenhouse for our reception. The romance theme continued with lots of chandeliers, candles, and flowers. My favorite touch was the blue and white plates, which gave it the pop of color.”

The MLB player, who successfully underwent bilateral sports hernia surgery in 2014 after suffering multiple injuries, gushed about his wife during an August interview with Bleacher Report.

“Who knows if I’m even here if it wasn’t for her?” Verlander told the outlet about Upton. “I really thought it was the end. … She was instrumental in me not … like, jumping off a bridge.”
