Kate and William Congratulate Meghan and Harry on Their Baby's Birth

Showing their support! Duchess Kate and Prince William congratulated Duchess Meghan and Prince Harry after the birth of their baby on Monday, May 6.

“The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are delighted with the news of the birth of The Duke and Duchess of Sussex’s son today, and look forward to meeting the latest addition to the family,” reads a message posted to Kensington Palace’s Instagram account on Monday.

William, 36, and Kate, 37, share three little ones. Prince George, 5, arrived in 2013, followed by Princess Charlotte, 4, and Prince Louis, who was born in April 2018.

With so much parenting experience, the royal pair gave the Duke and Duchess of Sussex advice on raising kids before the first-time parents welcomed their newborn.

“Both of them have spoken to Harry and Meghan about parenting, giving a few bits of advice ahead of the arrival of their baby,” a palace insider told Us Weekly in January 2019. “Having been through it a few times, their ‘tricks of the trade’ have definitely been appreciated. Harry and Meghan are totally open to all help and advice!”

William also shared his expertise at a “Future Dads” session run by the Future Men charity in February 2019.

“It’s very daunting how tiny they are when they first arrive,” the three-time father said. “They are so fragile, tiny little fingers and toes. You do feel like if you move them around too much, they are going to break, but they don’t. Wait until they’re 9 months, and they’ll be off.”

Meghan and Harry announced that they had a little one on the way in October 2018, five months after they tied the knot in St. George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.

The couple got engaged in November 2017, and the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge expressed their congratulations then, as well.

“We are very excited for Harry and Meghan,” William and Kate said in a statement at the time. “It has been wonderful getting to know Meghan and to see how happy she and Harry are together.”
