Sisters make the best friends! Joanna and Chip Gaines’ daughters are fully embracing their baby brother, Crew.
The 40-year-old doting mom of five captured a relaxing day with her brood on Saturday, July 7, and the newborn is clearly getting close with his siblings.
The Instagram Stories show Ella, 11, and Emmie, 8, lounging in a hammock with baby Crew. “Taking turns,” Joanna wrote alongside one Story, referring to the girls separately snuggling their baby bro.
The Fixer Upper stars welcomed their newest addition on June 23. The 43-year-old proud papa announced in a sweet Twitter post that his wife had given birth. “And then there were 5,” he tweeted at the time. “The Gaines crew is now 1 stronger! 10 beautiful toes and 10 beautiful fingers all accounted for, and big momma is doing great! #blessedBeyondBelief.”
Hours later, Joanna chimed in to reveal the baby’s name and give the world the first glimpse at the little one.
“Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love,” she wrote along with a series of five photos. In the first pic, Joanna gazes at the newborn while sitting in a hospital bed. The second showed an intimate moment of the parents embracing in a hug.
“He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early — which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one,” she added. “Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.”
Chip and Joanna tied the knot in May 2003 and are also parents of Drake, 13, and Duke, 9.
