Jessica Simpson shared adorable photos of her two eldest children, Maxwell Drew and Ace Knute, doting on their baby sister, Birdie Mae, on Friday, June 7.
The fashion designer, 38, posted a pic on Instagram of her 7-year-old daughter reading a book to her 11-week-old sibling, who was born on March 19.
“I love the way she loves her,” she captioned the sweet snap of her children with husband of almost five years Eric Johnson.
“The love of sisters is the best!!!!” her mom, Tina Simpson, commented. “This is everything!”
The former singer also shared a photo of her 5-year-old son smiling as he leaned over his little sister, who wore a cute orange onesie with wiener dogs on it. “I love the way he loves her,” Simpson wrote.
“Ace is your twin!!!” one fan commented, while others were in love with the dachshund pajamas from Clover Baby & Kids.
After a difficult pregnancy that saw her hospitalized multiple times as she battled bronchitis, Simpson is enjoying these precious moments with her kids, and also realistic about the challenges of motherhood.
The former Newlyweds star, who is breastfeeding Birdie, posted a photo of more than a dozen bags of pumped milk on Instagram at the end of May and commented, “I’m starting to think we should add breast milk to the Jessica Simpson Collection.”
She also made light of her efforts to work out after giving birth, sharing a photo of herself last month that showed her trying to touch her toes.
“Just stretching it out in my rubber corset,” she captioned the pic. “The joy of postpartum.”
Simpson also wrote about the after-effects of her C-section, admitting that she was struggling at times. “I think we all get so carried away with the excitement of having a new baby that we forget that we are going in for major surgery,” she noted in April. “Then on top of that, we get home from the hospital, have to recover from the surgery, balance our new life as a parent to three kids and be a wife.”
