Jana Kramer Knew She Would 'Get Hate' for New Instagram Posts

Jana Kramer and her husband, Mike Caussin, are really, really tired at the moment. The couple’s son, Jace, who was born on November 29, is not sleeping. And neither is his big sister, Jolie, 2.

“I’m having a real struggle day with only sleeping like, maybe an hour,” the country singer said while filming an Instagram Story on Wednesday, December 29. Kramer, 35, then noted that Jolie would be waking up from her nap at any moment.

Later on Wednesday, the One Tree Hill alum provided her more than 1 million Instagram followers with another update. “Having one of those mom moments where I literally just want to cry because Jolie was not wanting to go to bed and was screaming her brains out and then Jace was screaming crying,” Kramer said. Making matters worse, Caussin, 31, was at a meeting, so the couple couldn’t divide and conquer.

Jolie wouldn’t allow Kramer to bring Jace into her room. Then the little girl wanted to be picked up and held. “But I couldn’t because I just had a C-section,” the Whine Down With Jana Kramer podcast host explained. “The nighttime routine was a s—t show.”

Anticipating backlash, Kramer clarified why she was opening up about her struggles in public forum. “Before I get hate about, ‘Oh, you’re complaining,’ I’m not complaining,” she declared. “I’m just having a real-life mom moment and I thought I would share because I know there are other mamas out there that feel the same way I do.”

After suffering several miscarriages prior to becoming pregnant with Jace, Kramer is counting her blessings. “My family of four is complete,” she told Us Weekly earlier this month. “I’m happy.” And though Jolie didn’t want Jace in her room on Wednesday night, the toddler is crazy about her new sibling.

“She is incredible. I was nervous because when I held other babies before, she’d be like, ’No!’” Kramer told Us. “But she wants to hold Jace all the time. She’s really helpful. She says ‘Jace!’ And ‘My brother!’ And she’s just exceeded every expectation.”
