The country music community will be welcoming another little one very soon! Jake Owen’s girlfriend, Erica Hartlein, is pregnant with the couple’s first child together.
“This’ll throw you guys for a loop,” the country singer, 37, revealed to his family during ABC’s I’m Coming Home special, which aired on Thursday, November 22. “[We] haven’t told anyone, but Erica and I will be having a little addition to our Owen family.”
The musician confirmed his relationship with Hartlein in April 2017.
Owen is already the father of daughter Pearl, 6, with ex-wife Lacey Buchanan.
The former pair announced their split in August 2015 after three years of marriage. “I wanted to let my fans know how much I’ve appreciated their support of not only my career, buy my family as a whole. Sadly, Lacey and I have decided to end our marriage,” the “Down to the Honkytonk” singer said in a statement at the time. “We want to focus on our daughter Pearl and make sure that she has a beautiful life with loving parents. We appreciate you respecting our privacy during this time.”
Owen also noted on Twitter at the time, “This is the hardest thing I’ve ever done in my life.”
The “I Was Jack (You Were Diane)” crooner gave fans a glimpse into his life as a father in September. “Being on the road is an amazing job and has so many special moments. BUT, being away from my little girl when she learned to ride her bike with no training wheels today is tough!” he wrote on Instagram. “I am so excited for her and a proud Dad. Her excitement in her ‘Hey Daddy’ made my whole week. Ha. It’s the little moments in life. The FIRST times. Cherish them.”
