How The Full Moon On June 24 Will Affect You If You’re An Aries

June’s full moon is upon us, and it’s bringing with it some big leadership energy. Per the Old Farmer’s Almanac, the first full moon of the summer (or the last full moon of the spring, depending on how you look at it) is known as the Strawberry Moon. This name is similar across Native American, colonial American, and European cultures, and likely refers to the ripening time of wild strawberries in the northern hemisphere.

This year’s Strawberry Moon is in Capricorn, the sign that rules work, empirical structures, and fatherly energy. While it sometimes gets a bad rep as the sign of the patriarchy, it’s important to remember that like its corresponding tarot card (The Devil), everything has its time and use. As Allure points out, Capricorn’s cardinal energy can help us get out there and accomplish our goals, take responsibility for our actions, and remember and recognize our worth.

It’s clear that this full moon is all about the harvest that comes from hard work. What berries are ripening in your world? What efforts are finally coming to fruition? This full moon may feel extra cathartic due to its proximity to the Summer Solstice (June 20) and the end of Mercury’s retrograde (June 22), so it’s worth paying attention to what you need to let go of as well. If that side hustle isn’t as much fun or profitable as you’d hoped, for instance, it’s fine to let it go.

For Aries, this full moon is a career spotlight

For Aries, a fellow cardinal sign to Capricorn, the focus is absolutely on your professional career. Per Bustle, if you’ve been sitting on a power move at work, now is the time to make the play. Make that big proposal, finish that long-term project, or ask for that well-deserved raise. Aries are naturally ambitious, so chances are you’ve got something in mind and you’ve just been waiting for the right time. Well, consider this full moon your cosmic cue.

One more thing to bear in mind, though, is that Capricorn’s ruling planet, Saturn, is currently in retrograde in Aquarius (via Well+Good). Aquarius is all about the out-there and the unexpected but is also the zodiac’s humanitarian — not exactly the most natural match for that self-centered ambitious Saturn nature. But retrogrades are all about the “re’s” — relearning, reevaluating, restarting, etc. Maybe you floated an idea a few months ago that seemed too risky or too progressive? Now could be a good time to try again from a different angle. Or maybe you’ve been so committed to the grind that you’ve lost sight of larger goals? Use this full moon to let go of what’s no longer serving you, and focus on what really matters.
