A whole new woman! Mercedes ‘MJ’ Javid gave birth to her son, Shams, in April and is already feeling differently.
“There’s a power inside of me that I didn’t have before,” the Shahs of Sunset star, 46, told Us Weekly exclusively in this week’s issue. “Don’t try to come for me. There’s a different person inside [me now].”
The reality star and her husband, Tommy Feight, who wed in April 2018, announced six months later that they were expecting their first child after an infertility battle. Now that their little one has arrived, how is the marketing director doting on his wife and infant?
“He’s very hands-on, extremely loving,” Javid told Us. “He doesn’t breast-feed, of course, but he would if he could.” She went on to say that for her first Mother’s Day, Feight bought her cards from her dogs.
While the couple don’t have any official plans to start trying for their second, the Bravo personality told Us, “If we had another baby, I would want them to be very close in age.”
For now, she and her husband are enjoying their time with their newborn and have had a healthy dose of visitors. “The second the baby was here, Andy [Cohen] gave me this enormous, soft Snoopy doll,” Javid told Us. “[Costar] Shervin Roohparvar has [come over] a few times. We check in every day, and he stops by as well.”
As for her other costars, Reza Farahan hasn’t been by in the wake of their recent rift. “He and I clearly have some things going on, and that should never have come before me being in ICU and birth of my son,” Javid told Us exclusively last month. “What I can say is that before I went into the hospital, we were fine.”
