How Matthew Morrison’s 18-Month-Old Son Is Following in His Dad’s Footsteps

Like father, like son! Matthew Morrison’s 18-month-old baby boy, Revel, is already taking after his dad.

“He is a dancer through and through. He loves dance” the Glee alum, 40, told Us Weekly exclusively on Wednesday, April 17. “I love watching him dance. We get up every morning and have a dance party.”

In fact, the little one has already learned how to fist pump. “That’s his move now. He’s learning,” the actor told Us, adding that he loves Disney songs, especially.

Morrison and his wife, Renee Puente, welcomed their son in October 2017. “To my Newborn Child, Revel James Makai Morrison: Your Mama and Papa got this!!” the Tony nominee wrote on Instagram at the time. “Trust in us to guide and protect you always. To lay the tracks so your choo choo train will run smoothly throughout this world. You will have all the tools to soar! We love you, and are so thankful for your arrival! The adventures are just beginning…”

So what has fatherhood taught him so far? “I think the really surprising thing is, and in not a good or bad way, just how much time I had before,” the singer, who is officiating the Funeral for a Tree on Thursday, April 25, told Us. “I was complaining before, like, ‘Oh, gosh, I don’t have time to do this stuff.’ I had so much time to do stuff. Now I’m like, ‘I really don’t have time.’”

He added: “We’re figuring out how to manage our lives and how to schedule. I’m not really good at scheduling things. I’m surprised I made it here today.”
