Hilaria Baldwin has suffered a miscarriage at four months pregnant.
“We are very sad to share that today we learned that our baby passed away at 4 months,” the mom of four, who is married to Alec Baldwin, shared on her Instagram account Monday. “We also want you to know that even though we are not ok right now, we will be. We are so lucky with our 4 healthy babies—and we will never lose sight of this.”
Baldwin shared the message along with an emotional video, in which her 6-year-old daughter Carmen asks how much longer it will be until the baby comes.
“I don’t know,” Baldwin says in a soft voice. “I’m going to try really hard.” She added, “thank you for saying you’re sorry that Mommy is sad.”

Baldwin writes that she took the video “so I could send it to Alec. I guess this is a good way to share it with you too. I told her that this baby isn’t going to come after all…but we will try very hard to give her a little sister another time. I’m really devastated right now…I was not expecting this when I went to my scan today. I don’t know what else to say…I’m still in shock and don’t have this all quite clear. Please no paparazzi…that’s all I ask.”

In October, Baldwin revealed on Instagram they were expecting a baby girl.
It’s the second miscarriage this year for Baldwin, who revealed she lost a baby in April. In September, Baldwin shared that she was pregnant again.
“It is still very early … but we have learned that there is a little person inside of me,” she wrote at the time. “The sound of this strong heart makes me so happy – especially because of the loss we experienced in the spring.”
The couple also share Rafael Thomas, 4; Leonardo, 3 and Romeo, 1. Alec Baldwin has a 23-year-old daughter, Ireland, with ex-wife Kim Basinger.
