Happy Father's Day! Celebs Share Best Advice From Their Fathers

Words of wisdom! While raising kids of their own, celebrities like O’Shea Jackson and Ike Barinholtz have looked to their own dads for help.

But not all famous fathers just enjoy receiving advice — some of them like to share it. In February 2019, for example, Prince William opened up to a group of future dads about parenting.

“It’s very daunting how tiny they are when they first arrive,” the Duke of Cambridge said at the time. “They are so fragile, tiny little fingers and toes. You do feel like if you move them around too much, they are going to break, but they don’t. Wait until they’re 9 months, and they’ll be off.”

After sharing some tips on getting infants in and out of their clothing for diaper changes and admitting the hardest “bit [was] the buttons,” William stressed the importance of new dads’ mental health.

“Once the lack of sleep starts setting in, the stress levels go up,” the royal explained. “From a young age, you’re taught to have a vision, have a plan, have a career, and all of a sudden, babies come along and you have to start thinking about a lot more.”

He added: “I think ladies are a lot more giving, a lot more generous, but guys, to make a success of whatever we’re going to do, we get into a rhythm. It’s such a change. Your whole life goes one way and suddenly you’re told to stop in your tracks.”

When it comes to “stressful” single fatherhood in particular, Jack Osbourne, who shares Pearl, Andy and Minnie with his ex-wife, Lisa Stelly, told Us Weekly exclusively that “time management” is the key to raising children alone.
