Girl Scouts Just Added a Chocolate Chip Cookie That's Caramel-y, Chewy, AND Gluten-Free

Girl Scout cookie season is the best season (sorry, Summer and Fall), and it’s going to be better than ever in 2019 thanks to a new cookie. On Aug. 14, Girl Scouts announced the addition of the Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie, which will be a part of next year’s cookie season lineup. The new Caramel Chocolate Chip cookie features rich caramel, semisweet chocolate chips, and a hint of sea salt in a chewy cookie, according to a statement. Bonus: it’s also gluten-free, so more cookie-lovers of the world can enjoy it!

This new cookie will join another gluten-free option in the Girl Scout lineup: Toffee-tastic, a buttery cookie introduced in 2015 that has sweet, crunchy, golden toffee bits. Both gluten-free cookies will be offered only in select Girl Scout council markets, so you’ll have to reach out to your local council to check availability. These cookies will join returning classics like Thin Mints, Caramel deLites, Samoas, and Trefoils. Let the cookie-hoarding countdown begin.
