Forget jewelry. For Ginnifer Goodwin, who is married to fellow Once Upon a Time alum Josh Dallas, there is no sweeter gift than fruit preserves. When Dallas, 39, travels, he often ships a few jars to let his wife of four years know he’s thinking of her.
“He sends a lot of flowers, or jam because I like jam,” Goodwin told Us Weekly and other reporters at the Tamara Mellon Palisades Village Opening Party at Blue Ribbon Sushi in Los Angeles on Tuesday, December 11. At the moment Dallas is in New York filming NBC mystery drama Manifest.
“We FaceTime like 14 times a day,” Goodwin said.
The He’s Just Not That Into You actress and Dallas are parents of sons Oliver, 4, and Hugo, 2. With two little ones running around date nights are a rarity. “But we went to to see Dear Evan Hansen a couple of weeks ago here and that was divine,” Goodwin gushed. “And we have wonderful family in town who will come slumber party with our kids.”
Dallas will be home in L.A. on December 25 to eat Goodwin’s English Christmas pudding. “It took 13 hours,” she told Us. “It will either be my new Christmas speciality or everyone will be eating tums and laughing about it for years to come.”
While Oliver and Hugo can expect to open Wild Kratts toys and action figures, Goodwin wants just one present from Dallas. “Do you know I did not ask for anything except for a new datebook?” the Memphis native admitted. “I’m pretty boring and I get really excited about my yearly datebook that my husband gives me.”
Meanwhile, the couple have no plans to hang another stocking on the mantle. When asked about expanding their brood, Goodwin responded. “For now, I think we’re a foursome. We’re at a good place.”
