Almost there! Gretchen Rossi and Slade Smiley are working on their baby-to-be’s nursery ahead of her arrival.
“Obviously, we’re nowhere near done, but these are the first beginning stages of what will be the nursery,” the Real Housewives of Orange County alum, 40, said on her Thursday, May 30, Instagram Story. The former reality star began filming from outside the room before stepping in and panning over the new decor.
“First of all, can we talk about the rug?” Rossi said from behind the camera. “How gorgeous is this? … The reason I really wanted these rugs is because they are stain resistant and they don’t shed. Look at how adorable the pattern is.”
The California native added: “So excited about what we’re going to do here [with] wallpaper along the wall. … We’re going to have our crib right here along. Look at how cute this rocker is! … This dresser, which is really ugly right now, I’m going to take these knobs out and change it out with some really pretty gold accents. And this is where the changing table will go.”
Rossi and her husband, 45, celebrated their daughter’s impending arrival with a baby shower earlier this month. “Our baby shower was like a magical dream!” the pregnant star wrote on Instagram at the time. “Every detail was exquisite!”
After struggling with infertility and undergoing IVF, the former real estate agent announced in December 2018 that she and Smiley, who already shares two sons from a previous relationship, are expecting their first child together.
“There was plenty of times during the process that we were like, ‘Is this ever going to happen?’” the former Bravo personality admitted during their baby reveal. “’Is this ever going to come to fruition?’”
