Elizabeth Berkley and Greg Lauren are aware they sum up the cliche of life in Los Angeles. When asked about date nights, the parents of 6-year-old Sky had a very Hollywood response.
“Sushi and meditation,” painter-turned-fashion designer Lauren told Us Weekly at the Ralph Lauren 50th Anniversary event in New York City. Laughing he added: “Remember we live in L.A.!”
The Saved by the Bell alum, 46, noted that she and her husband of 14 years are down for double dates with pals but love “just being together.”
Of course, the couple miss their kindergartner when they are away from him for too long. “He’s a really big reader. He’s obsessed with Harry Potter,” the Showgirls actress gushed. “We love him. He’s our baby.”
Berkley and Lauren will celebrate their 15-year wedding anniversary in November. But Lauren, 48, still can’t believe he nabbed his childhood crush Jessie Spano. The proud husband bragged that people are wildly jealous when they learn about his wife. “They either hit me or push or they don’t even talk to me anymore,” he told Us. “I got Jessie, sorry Slater!”
It’s safe to assume Berkley’s friends are equally jealous that she gets to share a bed with handsome Lauren. The star admitted her love “100 percent” resembles a Disney Prince — specifically Prince Eric from the 1989 film The Little Mermaid. “There’s a guy in a class that Sky takes that always says Are looks like Eric,” Berkley told Us. Lauren is just fine with the comparison. As he told Us: “I take that as a compliment. “
