Disney Alum Tiffany Thornton Gives Birth to a Baby Girl After Heartbreak

Former Disney star Tiffany Thornton and her husband, Josiah Capaci, welcomed a future Mouseketeer on Friday, November 9, Us Weekly can confirm.

Thornton, 32, shared the happy news on Instagram on Friday with a photo of herself holding the newborn as Capaci, 26, stood near her bedside. “Juliet Joy Capaci is here and we are over the moon in love already,” she wrote. “She was born at 2:30pm, weighed 8 pounds 5 ounces with dark curly hair and is so cute and squishy already. What a blessing it is to be entrusted by God with this precious little miracle. Thank you everyone for your prayers!”

She also shared a shot of the little one resting while wearing pink and white stripped mittens and a brown Savvy Halos bow. “Her cheeks,” the actress captioned the picture along with a heart-eye emoji. Her husband shared the same photo, adding, “Juliet ‘Jules’ Joy Capaci. 8 lbs 5 ounces. 20.5 inches long. Living the Dream.”

The newborn baby girl joins big brothers Kenneth, 6, and Bentley, 4. The boys’ father, MTV star Chris Carney, was killed in a car crash in Arkansas in 2015.

The Sonny With a Chance alum and Arkansas-based pastor tied the knot in October 2017. In April, Thornton announced on Instagram that she and Capaci were expecting their first child together. In the picture, Kenneth and Bentley posed with a letter board that read: “New Best Friend Coming Nov. 2018.”

Thornton revealed in December 2017 that she suffered a devastating miscarriage when she was five weeks along. “I’m still in a bit of shock about it but there is one thing I know: God has His hand of protection over me and my husband and my children AT ALL TIMES,” wrote the devout Christian on Instagram. “And I know it was a form of His protection to only allow my body to carry this tiny blessing for 5 weeks. I am grateful that I wasn’t further along in the pregnancy. I am grateful that I didn’t have a child who would suffer once born . . . I am grateful that my body does what it is supposed to do even in the most difficult situation.”

The actress starred in Sonny With a Chance from 2009 to 2011 and its spinoff So Random! from 2011 to 2012.
