‘Confident’ Bella Hadid Doesn’t Let Trolls ‘Get to Her’: Source

Bella Hadid is always ready for body shamers, no matter how harsh they get.

After posting a series of photos on Instagram — in which she wears nothing but a black bra and high-cut thong with a pair of knee-high snakeskin boots — Bella was flooded with comments by trolls slamming her thin frame.

But a source close to the model exclusively tells Us Weekly that she couldn’t care less. “Bella knows that no matter what she posts, someone will have something to say about it,” says the source. “And it’s fine. She doesn’t let it stop her from posting what she wants.”

The beauty’s secret for shutting down trolls is natural confidence: “Bella is very comfortable in her own skin and is very confident, much more so than Gigi,” the source adds of Bella’s older sister, Gigi Hadid. “Bella doesn’t let the body shamers get to her.”

Gigi, 23, who has also faced intense criticism over her thin frame, took to Twitter in February to slam her skinny-shamers, telling them that her size was the result of her Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune condition that affects the thyroid and metabolism, often leading to weight loss.

Bella posted the so-called “scary skinny” photos on Saturday, November 3, to let fans know she was getting fitted for the Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show 2018, which tapes on November 8. “@victoriassecret fittings today?i can’t wait for you to see all of the beautiful outfits …i’m so grateful to be a part of the show again, feeling happier and healthier than ever?.”

After the social media slamming began — “You’re literally just bones, stop promoting this, it’s unhealthy. You’re supposed to be a role model – act like one,” wrote one, while another added “Eat a burger or something” — Bella simply added additional text in parentheses to subtly address the backlash, according to Yahoo News: “(all body types are different and react differently to a great workout routine and a healthy diet❤️???).”

Indeed, the Gotham Gym boxing devotee, who recently revealed all the food she keeps in her fridge, is a pro at ignoring haters, even within her circle. “Friends do think she’s gotten a little too skinny,” adds the source, “but she’s walking in Victoria’s Secret soon — who wouldn’t get skinny!”

The VS Fashion show is set to air on November 28.
