All the feels! Chip and Joanna Gaines may have their hands full with their newly expanded brood, but the Fixer Upper stars aren’t letting family rituals slip through their fingers.
The 40-year-old doting mom took to Instagram on Thursday, July 5, to share a sweet picture of her 43-year-old husband with their newborn on his lap. In the caption, Joanna revealed a sweet custom Chip began with their now 13-year-old son.

“Chip started a tradition with Drake where he wore the hospital bracelet until it fell off,” she wrote. “Looks like the tradition lives on #5.”
The father of five announced the arrival of the newest Gaines member in a heartfelt tweet on June 23, and hours later, Joanna chimed in with a series of Instagram photos and the reveal of the infant’s name.
“Our baby boy, Crew Gaines, is here and we couldn’t be more in love,” she wrote at the time. “He made an unexpected (and speedy) entrance into the world two and a half weeks early — which is fitting given he was a sweet surprise from day one. Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. We are so grateful.”
In one photo, the four older kids of the couple — Drake, Ella Rose, 11, Duke, 9, and Emmie Kay, 8 — are leaning up against a closed hospital door,eager to welcome their little bro to the family.
“One of my favorite pics a friend showed me after Crew was born,” she wrote alongside the picture. “They couldn’t wait to meet their new baby brother ❤”
The pair — who tied the knot in May 2003 — announced in January they were expecting baby No. 5.
