Cheryl Burke: I ‘Might Want to Get Pregnant Soon’

Dancing With the Stars’ Cheryl Burke hopes to trade in her skimpy dresses for maternity jeans! After the pro, 34, and her partner Juan Pablo Di Pace were eliminated on the show’s Monday, November 12, episode, she revealed that season 27 could be her last.

“I’m getting older. My hips freaking hurt,” Burke told Us Weekly and other reporters at Dancing With the Stars’ Semi-Finals in Los Angeles. “And I might want to get pregnant soon, so.”

Burke and her fiancé, Matthew Lawrence, will tie the knot next year. “We’re gonna go scouting for venues,” the choreographer told Us earlier this month. “We already have two in mind.”

Though Burke doesn’t have any pregnancy news to share just yet, she is already looking toward the future. In September, Burke told Us she doesn’t want her children to pursue dancing careers. “It’s a lot of pressure, and they have to grow up way too fast. That’s what I did,” she explained. “I want them to stay kids forever.”

As for Lawrence, 38, it sounds as if he will make the perfect dad. The Brotherly Love alum takes wonderful care of his fiancee.“I come home, to, like, dinner,” Burke gushed to Us in September. “Even if I come home at 2 in the morning, there’s a plate of food for me, or he’ll try to get up early and make me breakfast.”

Lawrence popped the question on Burke’s 34th birthday in May. The couple began dating in 2007 after meeting while the actor’s older brother, Joey Lawrence, was competing on Dancing With the Stars. They split in 2008 but reconnected in December 2017.

Though the Dance Moms alum was disappointed to be sent home on Monday, she sees a silver lining. “I’m excited to sleep. I feel like I’ve just been going and going and going,” Burke told Us. “I’m excited to spend time with my fiancé again.”

Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC Mondays and Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET.
