Celebrity moms are all over this placenta-eating trend! Proponents of the trend believe that consuming this nutrient-rich organ helps prevent postpartum depression, boosts energy levels and increases breast-milk production.

“No, I didn’t blend up my placenta in a smoothie or fry it on the stove like I’ve heard of some people doing,” the Bachelor alum said on her Instagram Story in April 2019. Instead, she had her placenta encapsulated. “The placenta has a lot of different benefits … and I really felt that it improved my mood and my milk supply.”

After the Younger actress gave birth to her daughter, Banks, on October 25, 2018, she sipped on a placenta-infused shake. “Most delightful smoothie I’ve ever had,” Duff declared on an episode of “Dr. Berlin’s Informed Pregnancy” podcast. “I haven’t had a smoothie that delightful since I was 10. It was calorie-filled with juice and fruit and everything delicious.” The Lizzie McGuire alum also enjoyed the drink in ice cube form.
