Cardi B Talks Baby Kulture, Says Being a Mom Requires Full Attention

Being a parent is hard work — just ask new mommy Cardi B! Four days after giving birth to her baby girl, Kulture, the musician took to Instagram on Saturday, July 14, with an update on her little one, admitting that the newborn has kept her a little . . . busy.

“Thank you everybody for the congrats we really appreciated,” she captioned a fan parody video of herself and Migos rapper Offset caring for their little one. “Thank you for family and friends that’s been hitting me up checking on me. It’s been a little hard for me to reply back cause this mommy job requires full day, all night attention. . . I’ll try to post more often.”

Still, as a source revealed exclusively to Us Weekly, the “Bodak Yellow” singer, 25, is loving every second spent with her baby girl.

“This is everything Cardi has ever wanted and she is already embracing motherhood fully,” the insider said. “Her mother and family members have been walking her through the first few weeks and she is cuddled up with her little girl at home.”

The Love & Hip Hop: New York star, who secretly wed Offset in September, announced she was expecting in April with a performance on Saturday Night Live in which the camera panned down to showcase her growing baby bump in a formfitting white dress.

She revealed she was having a girl on Howard Stern’s Sirius XM radio show in May, though the news wasn’t terribly surprising — the musician used “she” as an identifier in an interview that was published in The New York Times one day before her radio appearance, saying, “Shorty weighs 3 1/2 pounds. She do! She do weigh 3 1/2 pounds. That’s pretty good for seven months because I was born 5 pounds.”
