Cardi B Slams Fan Who Criticized Her Baby Shower

Cardi B might be a soon-to-be mama, but she’s also a clap back queen. The 25-year-old “I Like It” rapper wasn’t going to let haters criticize her baby shower without coming to her own defense.

After she posted a sweet photo of herself sitting on the lap of her husband, Offset, to Instagram on Saturday, July 7, one negative comment struck a chord when a follower bashed the party, implying that it looked cheap.

“All that money and the baby shower look like a bucket of CORN,” the commenter wrote, to which Cardi epicly responded, “It was beautiful and we was happy. Your mom waited a whole nine months for you to be ugly and a bucket of disappointment.”

Us Weekly got the exclusive first look at the Bardi party that took place on June 26 in Atlanta, but mirrored the “Best Life” rapper’s hometown of the Bronx, New York.

“We wanted to pay homage to where she’s from. The Bronx is such a big part of who she is … I wanted to bring the Bronx to Atlanta,” event planner Karleen Roy explained to Us. “We wanted to create this magical mystical land but make it soft,” Roy added. “So, we came up with the Bardi baby shower!”

And the celebration wasn’t an everyday baby shower. “We had a black ballet company that were all teen girls, they were dancing to ‘Bodak Yellow’ and other Cardi songs,” Roy added. “They were beautiful dancers, still very soft, they were on pointe and dancing traditional ballet, but to hip hop.”

Cardi and Offset are no strangers to doing things their own way. The couple — who publicly got engaged in October 2017 — were already secretly married at the time. It wasn’t until June this year that Cardi confirmed they had privately tied the knot.

“There are so many moments that I share with the world and then there are moments that I want to keep for myself! Getting married was one of those moments! Our relationship was so new breaking up and making up and we had a lot of growing up to do but we was so in love we didn’t want to lose each other,” she began a lengthy tweet.

“Was one morning in September we woke up and decided to get married,” she added. “We found someone to marry us, and she did, just the two of us and my cousin. I said I do, with no dress, no makeup and no ring!”

The “Bodak Yellow” rapper announced the news of her pregnancy during a Saturday Night Live appearance in April. She is expecting a baby girl any day now.
