Bringing Up Bates’ Tori Bates, 22, and Husband Bobby Welcome a Baby Boy

Bringing Up Bates has a new cast member — and he’s a cutie! Us Weekly can confirm that Tori Bates and her husband, Bobby Smith, welcomed their first child together, a baby boy, on Friday, November 9, at 7:45 a.m in Nashville, Tennessee.

Though the little boy is named as Robert Ellis Smith IV on his birth certificate, he will be called Kade.

Us Weekly exclusively confirmed in May that Tori, 22, and Bobby were expecting a baby in the fall. Early in her pregnancy, the UPtv personality experienced morning sickness per a source, but nothing could put a damper on her joy.

“We’re having a baby!! We are thrilled that God has blessed us with this amazing privilege, and we cannot wait to meet our precious little gift from Him,” Tori gushed to Us at the time.

The new parents, who began courting in November 2016, tied the knot on December 2016. In a memorable April episode of Bringing Up Bates, Tori giggled throughout her vows.

“It was embarrassing. And then I was like, I can’t believe this is happening on my wedding day! Of course it would,” she revealed on the show. “The whole wedding, I was just honestly trying to make everything so perfect and do everything so perfect and, you know, when I started laughing, it’s just not me to be perfect.”

Tori is one of 19 children born to Gil and Kelly Jo Bates. The big brood is friendly with the Duggar family and appeared on the show 19 Kids and Counting.
