Baby No. 4! Eli Manning and Wife Welcome First Son on Super Bowl Sunday

Party of six! Eli Manning and his wife, Abby McGrew, welcomed their fourth child on Super Bowl Sunday, February 3. Charles “Charlie” Elisha Manning is the couple’s first son.

The baby boy was born just after midnight, according to Newsday Opens a New Window. , joining the pair’s three daughters: Ava Frances, 7, Lucy Thomas, 5, and Caroline Olivia, 4.

The New York Giants quarterback, 38, opened up to Us Weekly about parenting his eldest back in June 2014. “She’s really funny,” he said at the time. “The first time I took her to some tennis courts she said, ‘Daddy, what’s that game?’ And I said, ‘That’s tennis.’ And she said, ‘I win at that game!’ And I just went, ‘Oh, goodness, gracious.’ She’s starting to get into some sports. She’s starting to play a little soccer.”

While Manning and McGrew, 35, only had two littles ones at home at the time, the two-time Super Bowl winner wasn’t certain they’d expand their family even further.

“It’s a possibility,” he said. “We’re enjoying the two, but I’m from a family of three and my wife’s from a family of three, so I think that’s always the number we had in our head. But we’ll have to see how it goes.”

And now they’ve expanded to a family of six! The NFL star shared the best fatherhood advice he ever received with Us back in 2014, and it still applies.

“It goes by quickly,” the Family Huddle author admitted. “You hear that from a lot of parents. They’re 3 years old and then you look up and they’re graduating high school and they’re graduating college. So just enjoy every moment that you have with them and every little period in their life is precious.”

The New England Patriots defeated the Los Angeles Rams 13-3 in Super Bowl LIII on Sunday.
