Baby No. 3? Carrie Underwood ‘Always Wanted a Little Girl’

Never say never! Carrie Underwood and her husband, Mike Fisher, welcomed their second son — but will the couple go for a baby girl?

The Grammy winner, 36, may have suffered multiple miscarriages before giving birth to Jacob, now 3 months, but “she’s always wanted a little girl,” a source tells Us Weekly exclusively in the newest issue. So even though her journey to pregnancy the last time around was “difficult emotionally and physically,” only time will tell.

For now, the singer is enjoying the early days with her newborn and his older brother, Isaiah, 4. “She attends school functions and sports games,” the insider tells Us. “She’s a regular PTA mom.”

And as for her parenting relationship with the former professional hockey player, 38, “They balance each other out.” In fact, “Carrie tells her friends how lucky she is,” the source adds.

The “Love Wins” singer gave birth in January and shared the news on Instagram with a heartfelt caption. “[Jacob’s] mom, dad and big brother couldn’t be happier for God to trust them with taking care of this little miracle!” she wrote at the time. “Our hearts are full, our eyes are tired and our lives are forever changed. Life is good…”

The athlete shared a sweet shot of his own, writing, “You are a gift from our Lord! The last few years has has had its challenges and it makes this moment even more sweet! We didn’t know if Izzy would ever have another sibling but we learned through it all that God is in control and his timing is perfect! He is good all the time even in the difficult times that are hard to understand.”
