Proud auntie! Ashlee Simpson gave a sweet update on her sister, Jessica Simpson, days after the eldest sibling gave birth to her third child, daughter Birdie, with husband Eric Johnson.
“Oh my gosh, she is so cute. Little Birdie,” Ashlee, 34, gushed during her Friday, March 22, appearance on Daily Pop Opens a New Window. . “She’s got these, like, adorable cheeks.”
The Ashlee + Evan star added that her big sister is doing “amazing” and “so great.”
Birdie’s siblings — Maxwell, 6, and Ace, 5 — are already in love with the family’s latest addition too. “The kids were so cute — Jessica’s kids with their little baby sister,” Ashlee revealed.
As for the “Boyfriend” songstress, the little one might have encouraged her to have more kids. “I’m not pregnant, but it definitely gave me the fever a little bit,” she admitted. Ashlee and husband Evan Ross are parents of daughter Jagger, 3, while she also shares son Bronx, 10, with ex-husband Pete Wentz.
Jessica, 38, and Johnson, 39, welcomed their baby girl on Tuesday, March 19. “Birdie Mae Johnson,” the Dukes of Hazzard star captioned a photo of Maxwell holding her little sister’s hand via Instagram. “3.19.19. 10 Pounds 13 Ounces.”
Ashlee was among the first family members to congratulate her sister. The “Pieces of Me” singer reposted Jessica’s pic, adding three heart emojis.
The women’s mother, Tina Simpson, also shared her warm wishes. “Our beautiful blessing Birdie Mae welcome to the tribe!” she wrote in the comments section of her eldest daughter’s post. “We love more than all the moon and stars in the heavens!!!!”
Jessica announced her pregnancy in September 2018. “This little baby girl will make us a family of five,” she shared at the time. “We couldn’t be happier to announce this precious blessing of life.”
The “With You” songstress documented her journey, including her ever-growing baby bump, via social media.
