Andy Cohen is reflecting on his first week back to work since welcoming baby Benjamin Allen.
The new dad, who made his return to the Bravo clubhouse earlier this week following 13 days of paternity leave, wrapped up the last of this week’s Watch What Happens Live episodes on Thursday.
Ahead of the new episode, guest-starring Reba McEntire and Morris Chestnut, Cohen, 50, looked back on the eventful past few days and said that the highlight of his return had nothing to do with the show, and everything to do with his newest bundle of joy.
“First week back at work wraps up tonight,” he captioned the sweet snap on Instagram. In the photo, Benjamin snoozed on his chest while Cohen smiled up at the camera.
“My highlight was quiet time with the boy before heading to the Clubhouse,” he shared. “This is a delightful trip!”
In his final note, Cohen apologized for constantly raving about his newborn son and promised that he would tame it down. “Ps. Sorry if I’m oversharing about the baby. I’ll calm down,” he said.
The first-time dad also recorded himself taking a walk with Benjamin and his beloved dog Wacha through his neighborhood on his Instagram Stories earlier Thursday.

“Well, it happened. I am officially that guy,” he happily said, revealing the gray Babybjörn carrier he was wearing with Benjamin fast asleep inside. “You know what? I like being this guy.”
“You know what else? This Babybjörn is amazing. Great support, he fell asleep right away, the dog’s happy, everybody’s happy,” he added with a smile. “There is peace in the West Village, as it should be.”

Cohen first returned to WWHL on Sunday in an episode that aired at a “special dad time” of 10 p.m. ET — an hour earlier than his usual time slot.
The show kicked off with Cohen sharing never-before-seen video footage of the moments just after the baby boy was born.
“This is a few minutes after I met my son,” Cohen said of the clip, which was shot as he made eye contact with Benjamin as the newborn lay on his back. “That was obviously right in the hospital.”
“He is a lovely boy, he is cute as a button, and I am falling more in love with him every day. He seems very happy, guzzling milk. He’s burping and making poops,” the first-time father added, joking, “My diaper-changing skills aren’t that bad but the swaddling has me a little perplexed!”
Cohen also took time to thank fans for all their support. “So many of you have been asking about my son. I am so appreciative of all your good wishes,” he said. “Thank you from the bottom of my heart.”
Benjamin was born Feb. 4 via surrogate. The baby boy weighed 9 lbs., 2 oz., and measured 20 inches long upon his arrival at 6:35 p.m.
“I was in the delivery room,” Cohen told PEOPLE and Entertainment Weekly Editorial Director Jess Cagle in last week’s issue of PEOPLE, which featured Cohen and Benjamin posing for an exclusive photo shoot.
“I had been hoping that he would have a full head of hair, and he really overdelivered,” the Bravo personality teased. “That was the first thing you see, the head of hair coming out. And I was amazed.”
After Cohen “cut the umbilical cord” himself, doctors cleaned Benjamin off and brought him over to the new dad, who then went skin-to-skin with his newborn for the first time.
“He was so alert for the first two hours. His eyes were wide open. He didn’t cry; he was just calm,” Cohen recalled to PEOPLE. “I kind of have no words for it.”

Before Benjamin’s birth, Cohen took WWHL to Los Angeles for a month of episodes, some of which were pre-recorded to cover for the baby’s arrival.
The Emmy-winning show then aired a week of specials built for Bravo fans during Cohen’s break, compiling a compilation of clubhouse moments from Cohen’s favorite “Funny Ladies,” Real Housewives of Atlanta cast members, and “Divas” like Mariah Carey, Lady Gaga and Cher, among others.
