The Big Bang Theory star Kaley Cuoco married professional equestrian Karl Cook in a fairytale wedding we think her character Penny would approve of. Cuoco shared videos and photos of her enviable lace gown and shawl, matching denim jackets with her beau, and musician Gin Wigmore’s performance.
Cuoco and Cook started dating after her highly publicized divorce from tennis player Ryan Sweeting. Following her separation from Sweeting, Cuoco said, “I honestly thought I wouldn’t get married again. My ex ruined that word for me.”
Looks like Cook reignited Cuoco’s ability to love — and her desire to get married again. Despite Cuoco’s high profile celebrity status (after all, she is one of the highest-paid actresses on television), Cook has managed to fly under the radar up until the two announced their engagement.
The start of it all
The pair started dating in 2016 after Cuoco finalized her divorce with ex-husband Ryan Sweeting. They dated for nearly two years before Cook proposed to Cuoco on her 32nd birthday. While the two met at a time when Cuoco wasn’t prepared to date, she swooned from the start that she’d “finally met her horse guy.”
“He’s an amazing, amazing rider and jumper, amazing equestrian and a great human. We share our passion for horses and dogs and all that and it’s been so lovely, so I’m so happy,” Cuoco told The Talk last year.
The after party included matching denim jackets
Sounds pretty standard, right? The official “KC-squared” couple showed off their love for one another wearing matching “KC” denim jackets adorned with a floral pattern on the eve of their wedding. They had a small, outdoor ceremony with their close friends and family members. A few horses managed to score an invite as well.
Cuoco hired celebrity makeup artist Jaime Greenberg for the occasion. In an unexpected twist, Greenberg bought most of the actress’ makeup from the drugstore. Cuoco’s eyeliner cost $10, her mascara $13, and her SPF lip balm a meager $4, Refinery29 reported.

Their wedding planner pulled out all the stops
The couple’s wedding planner, Lauren Tatum, left no stone unturned (and no horse ungroomed) when it came to the wedding details. She designed the reception hall with intimate and inviting life-sized floral arrangements. Plus, the couple officially tied the knot at a horseshoe-shaped alter. What more could they ask for?
Cuoco stunned at the reception
The actress changed into a lace Tadashi Shoji jumpsuit and Louise et Cie shoes for the reception. She put her blonde waves up into a ponytail and shared a celebratory Instagram picture with her new husband after they tied the knot captioned, “Ok let’s party!”
