30 Lbs Down, Jax Taylor Makes Hilarious Wedding Fitness Confession

Down more than 30 pounds, Vanderpump Rules star Jax Taylor is working hard to get in the best shape of his life for his upcoming wedding to Brittany Cartwright — and his motivation is totally relatable.

His fitspo is his wedding album. “When I look back in 20 years and I am fat, I can be like, ‘I was hot one day!’ to my kids,” the future groom told Us Weekly at the 2018 People’s Choice Awards in Santa Monica on Sunday, November 11.

While the 39-year-old reality star may be kidding around, his commitment to fitness is no joke at the moment. He told Us he and Cartwright, 29, were working out together and doing “all kinds of stuff. Trying to eat better, jumping around to different classes around Hollywood. Just trying to live a better life, a healthier life.”

The bride-to-be shares his commitment. “We’re ready to be the best us yet for the wedding,” she told Us at the same event. “Like, I just want to be so happy, so healthy. It’s going to be the perfect day.”

Both Bravo stars have been on a weight loss journey. This summer, Cartwright revealed she had recently lost 25 pounds through a combination of running and interval training as well as high-intensity group classes at L.A.’s Sweat Garage. On July 17, she shared a bikini photo with fans on her Instagram account. “I normally don’t post stuff like this but I’m feelin’ good,” wrote the Kentucky native. “Still working on that wedding body of course, but I’m so proud of my progress.” For Taylor’s part, he revealed in April on his Instagram stories that he had lost 30 pounds.
